At a recent meeting our local Police Officers gave us an insight into what happens when they actually catch offenders with stolen items. Very often, further investigations reveal many more items in their possession which they cannot prove ownership of but which cannot be traced back to their rightful owners. They are therefore promoting this great UK National Property Register which can help return items to victims of burglary and also of course help to convict offenders.
