more on Rail 2014 and Kelvindale station

Bob Doris MSP has sent us this letter about the Rail 2014 consultation (now closed), where he tells us that the Transport Minister Keith Brown has reassured him that there are no plans to close the Maryhill line.

There remain some concerns that proposed improvements to the Glasgow-Edinburgh service (EGIP) will take Queen Street station over its capacity, which will then make it difficult for the Maryhill line to continue there. Discussions are ongoing.

This letter from Patricia Ferguson MSP is the latest news. (6 March 2012)
